Alice Update

This month's character in the Alice SAL was the Mad Hatter.

I also made this mixed media picture of a sardine tin this week, following a tutorial on the Seasalt website.

In un-related news I planted a Kiwi plant in the garden when Naomi was very small (they were her favourite fruit). It has grown like a triffid ever since without so much as hinting at a kiwi, but today, after 18 years it has flowered!

And in case you were wondering, here is this months not-so-uplifting sentiment from the calendar the girls made me

I love your Mad Hatter, Christine. Those sardines look very real. It will be interesting to read if that kiwi flower results in a kiwi.

Your Mad hatter is adorable, your Kiwi plant has a lovely flower, I think you need to plants to cross pollinate to get fruit.
That painting is amazing, you did a beautiful job of drawing and painting.
Have a lovely day.

Kiwi flower, does that indicate a fruit to come? Keep us posted.
Love the sardines, that is cool.
Mad Hatter, he's so detailed, i'm loving watching this SAL grow, both yours and Jo's.

Your Hatter looks great, I am planning to add some jam to my sandwich too this month!
The sardines are very good, I have not done much art recently due to the current veto on hiding rocks. I should be doing a batch for when we can hide them again really.

The Hatter looks great! I don't think I've ever seen a blooming kiwi. It's gorgeous.
