Gifted Gorgeousness - May

It's time for Gifted Gorgeousness, the monthly Blog Hop organised by Jo where we show the things we've made as, received as, or can otherwise shoehorn into the category of gifts.
Quite a few sewing projects for my GG post this month. Lets see...
I made the girls a top each from some funky tattoo print jersey

I made this top for Eloise for her Birthday

and also this dress

Loki approves

The sharp eyed among will notice that all the pictures are of Naomi, this is because Eloise lives some distance away, so her makes have had to be posted to her.
This was a cover kit with Mollie Makes magazine, so that counts as a gift right?

And I finished off the blackbird applique I showed a couple of posts back. The design/kit was from last year's Spring Craftpod, which was a gift from me to me :)

Alice Update

Running a little late on this month's installment for the Alice SAL, but I got it finished before the next one came out so I'm calling that a win!
Here are the Tweedles

Next month is The Mad Hatter, really looking forward to that one.
A gratuitous picture of Loki, because the way he was lying made me laugh so hard

And here, for those of you who have been looking forward to it, is the May page from the "inspirational" calendar the girls made for me!

The Last Gifted Gorgeousness of 2018

Running a little late this month, but I do have some things to show for December's Gifted Gorgeousness (for an explanation of Gifted Gorgeousness please see Jo's blog here)
First we have the Annual Needlecraft Haven Christmas Ornament Exchange. Here is the ornament I made and sent to Angi

And here is the gorgeous one I received from Julie

Not the best picture as I'd already hung it and had to climb on a chair to get the photo
Next a Secret Santa Exchange through the Craft, Craft and More Craft Group on Facebook - this is what I sent

And I received these fabulous personalised baubles for all the family

Even the cats were included
And finally a huge thank you for the Birthday gifts I received from lovely stitchy friends. A book token from Barb, and this amazing Marvel tote bag from Julie

Gifted Gorgeousness - June Edit

Well I don't know where that month went! It's Gifted Gorgeousness time again already, the blog hop, organised by Jo of Serendipitous Stitching, where we show our gift related crafts - for further details please see the Jo's blog.
Not much to show this month. I got the Mos Eisley sampler I showed you last time framed.

This is to be a gift for Eloise. Also for Eloise is this cat tea cosy I knitted. Pattern available at LoveKnitting

I made it ginger and white to match our two monsters.

And finally a little aran hoodie I knitted for my friend's first grandbaby

Gifted Gorgeousness - April

Gifted Gorgeousness, a SAL organised by Jo of Serendipitous Stitching, where once a month, on the 15th (Oops. A day late!), we show off any stitching that is either a gift or made from gifted materials.

This month I was lucky enough to win a giveaway from Lynn B at Happiness is Cross Stitching ~ April Showers, one of her adorable Calender Cats, seen here being "demonstrated" by my beautiful assistant Jinx.

Lynn also sent me some matching gift tags and mini fabric labels, but Jinx wasn't prepared to do any more demonstrating.
You just can't get the staff these days...

And here is a gift I made for Eloise. The chart came from here . You can tell who it is right? David couldn't see it even when I told him.
I made him up as a free standing piece following instructions from a book by Judy Odell, which I don't think is available any more. He is weighted (with rice) so that Eloise can use him as a doorstop or a bookend or a paperweight or a cosh or whatever

And finally I made this little (he's about 4" tall) chap from a cover kit on Mollie Makes. That totally counts right?
Check out Jo's blog here for the other posts in the SAL

Cat-proofing the Knitting and a Bit of Sewing

I thought you might like to see my new wool bowl. Gorgeous or what? It came from this shop on Folksy.

The idea is to stop a certain feline from chasing my wool all around the floor. Yes, Loki, I'm talking about you. Look at him, looking as if butter wouldn't melt...

And the bit of sewing? Something for me for a change. The pattern is Simplicity 1463, and the fabric came from EvilBay. The lace panel goes across the back as well as the sleeves

A picture of me. Something you don't see too often on this blog. Probably didn't really want to see this one either!
If you are thinking of sewing this pattern, it comes up a bit on the large size, I ended up cutting a size smaller than I'd normally use.
