Beach, Birdhouse and Blooms

We've had a few days of glorious spring weather here. Here are a couple of pictures I took at Trebarwith earlier.

Meanwhile in the back garden the oxslips are in flower
the first dwarf tulips are opening
and we have made the birds a shiny new bird table

Speaking of birds, I made this Mockingjay hairclip for Eloise to wear when we went to see The Hunger Games on Friday (excellent movie by the way, very close to the book). It was going to be a pin, but I'd run out of brooch backs so I stitched it to a barrette clip. I found the pattern here after seeing a post on Pinterest.
And here is a corsage pin I've made for a friend's birthday.
I have, however, completely failed to complete the Monthly Challenge. Oh the shame! Off to crawl under a rock and promise to do better next month...

I agree the Hunger Games was wonderfully done and didn't devaite very much from the novel. I'm of course now looking forward to Catching Fire and Mockingjay!

What a beautiful corsage!

Looks like your spring has been a clone of ours--sunny and warm :) Except for last night when we got a horrid frost--I'm so worried about the flowers and shrubs.

Looks like a wonderful day spent with your girls, Christina, and you certainly made some cute creations...I haven't read The Hunger Games--guess I should add it to my list!

Lovely photos Christine. The mockingjay hair clip is brilliant. I still haven't decided how to finish the one I stitched for Abi. The second film will be out by the time I get it done!!! Lol!

Isn't spring wonderful? Our spring looks as glorious as yours except that right now the temperature is down just a bit. I see that you are perfecting your button and zipper corsage technique, very nice.

Great pic of your beautiful daughters.
Another failure for the challenge here too... will do better in April.
The corsage pin is stunning - well done, fab colour.
