An Experiment in Upcycling

I've been reading Mollie Makes again. I know, it can be dangerous...
This time I was inspired to take a couple of vintage tea towels and turn them into a messenger bag. I'm all about upcycling these days!
I'm not so sure about the Scenic Cornwall one now though, I think it will make me feel like a tourist when I use it. I may have another go using just the loud 70s floral design (I've got tons of them, they came from my Aunt's house). I think I'll adapt it so it has a fold over flap as well.
And shorten the straps, this one hangs somewhere near my knees. Mind you, so do a lot of things these days ;(

An excellent use of the tea towels. It looks very useful. At under 5 feet, a lot of things are too long for me too. :-D

Wow! When my tea towels are done, they're done - good for rags only.
I laughed out loud at that last observation of yours. Too funny!

Great bag, but must agree the fabbies need to be a little more matchy-matchy! They're too different for my tastes.

I do enjoy the creative things you come up with!

LOL! You are too funny Christine! Love the bag though. I love using things for something else especially things that would otherwise just sit in a closet or drawer.

Christine I quite agree with the "gravity" problem I have it too. Like the idea of the bag,but not as much as my brooch!!!
