Gifted Gorgeousness - June Edit

Well I don't know where that month went! It's Gifted Gorgeousness time again already, the blog hop, organised by Jo of Serendipitous Stitching, where we show our gift related crafts - for further details please see the Jo's blog.
Not much to show this month. I got the Mos Eisley sampler I showed you last time framed.

This is to be a gift for Eloise. Also for Eloise is this cat tea cosy I knitted. Pattern available at LoveKnitting

I made it ginger and white to match our two monsters.

And finally a little aran hoodie I knitted for my friend's first grandbaby

Gifted Gorgeousness for May

Is it time for Gifted Gorgeousness already? This month has just flown by.
In case you don't know Gifted Gorgeousness is a Blog Hop run by Jo of Serendipitous Stitching where we show anything we can even vaguely describe as gift-related  our gifted crafts and crafted gifts.
This month I have two projects to show. The first is this little hoop with embroidery and felt flowers which I made as a birthday gift for my friend.

The second is actually some cross stitch! Yes, honestly, I've actually completed a piece of cross stitch - must be the first time in absolutely ages. This is "Bless This House - Mos Eisley Edition" by Hard Core Stitch Corps, stitched on Crafty Kitten Belfast linen in Champagne Bubbles. It is going to be a gift for my daughter Eloise, I just need to get it framed.

Craftpod Bonus Project

Cheap pair of chain store low-rise embroidered using one of the designs from the Craftpod and some of the spare thread, then matching laces swapped in.

My First Craftpod

You may have heard of Craftpod, the quarterly craft subscription box. I decided to give it a try, and a few weeks ago the Spring box plopped through my letterbox. I was thrilled with it. Not only did it contain all the materials and instructions for two gorgeous projects, but also a selection of stationery with the prettiest spring botanical illustration and a ginger and lemon tea-bag so I could have a nice cuppa while I worked on my embroidery.
I didn't photograph the contents unfortunately but you can see previous boxes here which will give you an idea.
The two projects were a drawstring linen bag.

How glorious is that mustard yellow linen? The lining fabric was my own addition, just an oddment I had which happened to be the perfect colour.
And an embroidery hoop with a spring botanical theme.

Again the buttons and bird charm were my additions, because when did I ever do anything the way it was designed?
So, there you have it. My first ever Craftpod. Looking forward to the summer one now.

I've got a variety of things to show this month. First the Easter Exchange from Needlecraft Haven.
I received this beautiful ornament and delicious Easter goodies from Deb

and sent this ornament to Julie

The design was adapted from a larger sampler in Cross Stitcher magazine and I used the same lollipop finish as I did for the ornament in the previous post.
Next up a little baby jumper I knitted as my friend is expecting her first grandchild. The pattern and wool are by Sirdar.

Easter Treasure Hunt Blog Hop 2018

My Easter Themed stitching is this little free design from La Comtesse & Le Point De Croix. I left off the bow portion of the design, and replaced it with an actual bow, making it up as a lollipop finish with an edging of tiny yellow pompoms

Gifted Gorgeousness - March

It's the 15th of the month, so that means it's time for Gifted Gorgeousness - the Blog Hop organised by Jo of Serendipitous Stitching - where we talk about our gift-related crafting and craft-related gifts.
When putting this post together I've noticed that everything in it seems to have been made for Naomi. (Note to self: make things for other daughter!)
Firstly we have a wee Year of the Dog ornament - I started making Naomi a Chinese New Year ornament every year quite a few years ago now, I think I'm definitely over halfway through the zodiac by now.

Next a knitted snail - she's studying in Italy this year and living in the contrada of Chiocciola (snail district) of Siena - the colours of  Chiocciola  are red and yellow

And finally a skirt I made from an oddment of Echino linen.

I thought the fun moped print was ideal for the girl-about-Italian-town in the spring. Hopefully she will wear it and channel her inner Audrey.
