I dyed a scarf in shades of gold, and made this panel. It started out as cherry blossom, but I think it toook a detour into hydrangea somewhere along the way.
I also made this more abstract one, I'm planning to use it as a background and embroider over it. At first I thought beach and sea, but now I'm seeing more dry stone wall in the foreground with fields behind. What do you think?
Its officially Spring now, and someone must have told the garden because suddenly there are loads of flowers out. I've even got one small purple carnation, but I think maybe its a bit confused.
I had a lovely piece of post during the week, when I recieved this beautiful ladybird fob from Mylene. Isn't it just stunning? And yes, the daffs are in the garden

I don't blame you for having this new obsession! It really is pretty and looks so fun. The first thing I thought of with the one you will use as a background is stones at a lake.
The gift you received is just beautiful! And your Daffodils are wonderful! Spring has so many pretty sites to offer.
How nice to find a new obsession - a girl can never have too many..lol. Your pieces are very pretty and I agree the background one reminds me of a dry stone wall ( strangely I love them, they are fascinating things)Your gift from Mylene is lovely and the daffs look great - ours are only just thinking about flowering!
The silk painting is super duper Christine, the second one yes definately dry stone wall and maybe its my eyes but can I see a sheep or two there lol. Nice gift from Mylene spring is springing in Cornwall.
Lovely fob from Mylene, so nice to see the daffs out, the sunshine today has made mine open up too.
I cna see why you might have a new obsession, they looks amazing, dry stone wall it think it looks like, looking forward to seeing what your creative juices do to that piece.
Great job on the art work, Christine. All looks lovely!
So happy to hear about the fob, the daffodils are beautiful-haven't seen them yet around, mostly snowdrops and crocuses.
Your silk painting is gorgeous. I can see a lovely field with little field flowers behind the wall. I am afraid that if I took up silk painting I would soon produce a mess.
Wow! I love the silk painting, looks fun and very creative.
Happy spring!!
