Challenges, Carnivals and Exchanges

Today is reveal day in the Jayne's Attic Monthly Stitching Challenge. The design is Debbie Draper's "Love". Mine is stitched in Dragon Floss colour "Sweetheart", on an unidentified piece of raw linen, and used to cover the lid of a small box. There are loads more really wonderful finishes for this design in the album at the Jayne's Attic forum.

The second picture is of a truly lovely box and fob I recieved in an exchange. Thankyou Ros, I love them!

And here is Eloise at St Teath Carnival last night, where she won 2nd place.

Gosh!

I got a blog award! I've never had a blog award before! Thankyou Elisa

These are the rules:

1. The winner can display this award on their blog

2. Display a link to the person you have got the award from.

3. Nominate at least 7 other blogs, you like.

4. Set the links to the blogs on your blog.

5. Leave a comment on the blogs you have chosen

It was hard choosing seven, but here is my list:-

Helen, Julie, Karan, Tanya, Sally, Chris, Mylene

I'd better make this post a bit stitchy, so here is a picture of the little fob I made for Naomi's music teacher. Sorry the pic isn't very well focussed. I made a Russian Doll one for the class teacher but the picture came out so out of focus it isn't worth posting. Good excuse to stitch another one I say!

Off now to bake some field mushrooms with tomato and mozarella for tea :)

Her Royal Highness...

Eloise is now officially Carnival Queen for the next year. Here she is at her crowning, posing with her attendants,

and riding on the float.

As you can see the sun finally shone, which was something of a relief after the week we've had!

Last tango in St Breward???

Well, it was Naomi's last carnival as Fairy Queen last night in St Breward. It tipped down, so we took them in the car rather than the float, so here is a picture of my car looking all festive!

They won three trophies in all, in the picture Naomi is being presented with the trophies for "Miss Ennstone Junior".

Back off to making Eloise's dress now ;D

A tisket a tasket

I stitched a little basket.

Not the greatest picture in the world as the colours are very muted and the stitching doesn't show up too well.

This little basket is now on its way to its new home, but I can't say where as its a secret exchange ;)
