Today is reveal day for the April Challenge at Jayne's Attic. This time we stitched the Caron Collection's "Caron Keeper". Mine is stitched on 32ct raw linen using Vicki Clayton silks in Verdigris, Dark Mauve, Grasses, and Colonial Blue, with Kreinik Silk Mori in 7054 for the birds' legs and beaks. I finished mine as a bookmark. This one was an absolute joy to stitch, and there are lots of great finishes in the album so it is well worth a look.It is beginning to feel a lot like spring round here, and yesterday we went to Newquay Zoo for the day (we won a family ticket in a raffle at Christmas). Isn't this little chap splendid? I absolutely love penguins. "Cute and cuddly boys, cute and cuddly". The other picture is of two of the rather more ferocious animals ;)

That 2nd pic at the zoo is good but I hope you didnt risk putting your camera through the bars to get it as Im sure either of them would have snapped your hand of in an instance.

Hi Christine, re the comment about the "bubblename" card. Yep I often design "bubblename" cards for family and friends. Sometimes I just use different vari threads, sometimes all the letters are spotty or checked, it really depends on a) who its for and b) the mood im in. I love designing my own cards and knowing that what I am making is special for that person.
