Three things to show this month. First is the Holiday Exchange from Needlecraft Haven. This was an exchange in two parts. We selected and kitted up a small free chart to send to our partners earlier in the year, and for this part we reveal what we stitched from the gift we received.
I received a sweet little snowflake design from Dusty, and here is the ornament I stitched it up into.
Second up is this bag I made for Naomi using a gorgeous remnant of sloth print fabric I got from the sale at Sugar Bowl Crafts
Thirdly a t-shirt upcycle, also for Naomi. I took this t-shirt
and added a faux leather corsetting detail at the neckline.
She made me cut her head off the picture because "I haven't done my eyebrows Mum"
I also made a project bag for Clare for her birthday but I totally forgot to get a picture before I sent it out!
Another great gifted gorgeousness post, Christine... That little snowflake with the Santa hat turned out great with the gingham ruffle and bow. And the bag is amazing--what fun fabric and I've always loved red, black, and white in combination :)
ReplyDeleteThanks for taking part in GG this month. I love the idea of doing a kit exchange and then stitching it up as an alternative to sending the finished item.
ReplyDeleteNice work on the t-shirt and the lovely bag too.
Goodness, that sloth bag is the bee's knees! How cute is that?
ReplyDeleteThat sloth bag is amazing!! You're talent know no end.
ReplyDeleteI love sloths!!! Totally cute. Well done.
ReplyDeleteI love your sloths! Not something I'd think to stitch up, but oh so cute!
ReplyDeleteYour bag is so perfectly done and the fabric is lovely:) I liked the Tshirt makeover, it's innovative !

More beautiful makes! I love seeing the sloths at Chester Zoo and your bag is really fun.
ReplyDeleteSloth fabric!?! I just bought the dude some sloth socks. I think he may need a pair of sloth pajama pants...
ReplyDeleteI am in love with the bag, it is adorable, the shirt is a great redo, what a grand idea with the lacing.
ReplyDeleteYour ornament is so sweet you did a lovely job.

Catherine
