More Block Printing and a Spot of Slightly Mad Knitting

This time I decided to use an Indian printing block to upcycle a plain and boring denim skirt. I also added some braid and a few sparkly beads.

Classic husband quote - "you've only done one side of it", well, yes, it's called a design choice...

And the mad knitting? This is from an Alan Dart pattern in Simply Knitting magazine.

Bwaa Ha Ha Ha!

Block-Printing and Bluebells

Penguins are not just for winter so I printed myself a silk penguin scarf for spring.

And just because they are pretty, some bluebells in my garden.

Easter Exchange

I took part in an Easter Exchange on Needlecraft Haven. You had to send a stitched ornament and a sweet treat.
Here is the beautiful ornament I received from Mary. I love it, and the way it is finished as a little bell is fabulous.

Mary also sent me a chocolate fish. I have to admit that is a first for me, but apparently it is a thing in France where Mary lives.

Gifted Gorgeousness - April

It's time for April's Gifted Gorgeousness - the blog hop organised by Jo of Serendipitous Stitching where we show off our, however tenuously, gift related crafting.
This month I have a couple of things to show.
I made this zipped pouch as a birthday gift for my friend Ruth (no blog) using the QAYG technique and incorporating scraps of metallic and embroidered fabrics, shisha mirrors and sari silks.

And this is a small weaving I made.

The loom was a cover gift on Mollie Makes magazine so that totally counts right?

Spring Has Sprung

I picked this posy of flowers in the garden this morning.

And made this little skirt for Naomi from a fun Japanese print cotton

I just hope it doesn't say anything vulgar!
