The Monthly Challenge, restitched, on pre-stained fabric, without the colour runs.
The chart is from Pineberry Lane and can be found here
Finished in a deliberately primitive style (I can do blanket stitch neater than that, honest), with tea stained lace, a twine bow and a rusty bell
Mind you, the final placement of one of the tea stains is a bit dubious
Rudolf!
I nearly trod in that! I ought to rub your stupid red nose in it!
Very cute!
ReplyDeleteLOL at poor Rudolph :D

ReplyDeleteI literally laughed out loud when I read your Rudolph comment. Well done!
He even has his hands on his hips? Christine, I love how you have finished it .Did he have proof it was Rudolf ,it could have been anyone of the other 6.

It's so much safer to stitch on pre.stained fabric. Your finishing is just gorgeous. I was doing this sewing on years ago and had forgotten about this way of finishing. I have to remember it when my finishing mojo comes back.
ReplyDeleteMe laughing at your comment actually made my kids look up from their tablets! It looks really lovely aged like that.
ReplyDeleteAww he is so cute :)
ReplyDeletea delightful finish!
ReplyDeleteLove it and well done on having another go. Love your little joke about the tea bag stain. :)
ReplyDeleteBeautiful work Christine :-)
ReplyDeletestill very pretty. no one but you will notice.
ReplyDeleteThe finished pillow is lovely and your comment made me giggle. Well done!
ReplyDeleteYou stitched again so quickly! It's looking very nice :) I guess even the earlier one was good, why can't tea spill on thread area and cause color bleed, why should it only stain the fabric area? I would have hung on to whatever happened with that excuse for stitching only once;)
ReplyDeleteYou are a perfectionist!! No one will notice the dubious placement of stain until you mention.
Lovely finish..naughty Rudolph:)
ReplyDeleteHahahaha that really made me laugh!
ReplyDeleteA lovely finish, Christine.
ReplyDeleteHa ha!! I just love this, Christine--that naughty Rudolf!! But, seriously, your finish is just so sweet and perfect for this prim piece :)
ReplyDeleteLOL, version two does look much better, finished to delightfully too.
ReplyDeleteRoll on next month!
