I did it! I mastered the two colour thing :-
I know the colour combination is revolting, but I was using up oddments to practice. It is, however, official. There is now no stopping me. Blanket here I come.
I've bought this wool for the purpose. It's Stylecraft and the colours are, clockwise from the left :-Cream, Camel, Copper, Mocha, Khaki, and Sunshine.
I'm not 100% sure if the Sunshine isn't a little too strident. What do you think?
At the weekend I decided to practice my photography and try and get used to David's fancy-schmancy camera using the girls as victims models.
These were my favourite shots of each of them :-
Eloise, whose tights are meant to look like that apparently.
Naomi looking pensive (Damn! I was going for thoughtful)
And these are a couple of more arty type ones :-Glitter! Lollipop!
I think the copper and sunshine will help to lift the blanket. Well done on a new technique (hobby) learned.
ReplyDeleteBTW those photos of your girls are fab, they are so pretty.
Goodluck with the blanket.
ReplyDeletebeautiful pictures of the girls!!
I am quite envious as my eldest doesn't want her picture taken with us or with her friends.
The yellow will not look quite as bright with the other colors. You might want to use it as an accent color. Lovely, fun pictures of two lovely young women,
ReplyDeleteFabulous photographs Christine. I like your colour choices - looking forward to seeing the blanket progress
ReplyDeleteLove the colours for the blanket though I personally wouldn't go for the sunshine. Look forward to seeing your progress.
ReplyDeleteLovely photos of your girls too.
Looking forward to seeing your blamket growing Christine.
ReplyDeleteLove photos of your girls.
Oooh you did a great job with the fancy camera! Great shots of your girls!
ReplyDeleteGreat choice of colours for the blanket, can't wait to see some progress pics - crochet is soooo addictive!
ReplyDeleteSupers pics of the girls, i think you have mastered the super-duper camera
Great pictures - you certainly seem to have mastered the camera.
ReplyDeleteI LOVE the yarn and am jealous that we cannot seem to get these beautiful fall colors here. I think the Sunshine will work in the right spot to lift up the afghan. I used a purple for the middle of my granny squares to lift up mine too. And remember you can always try it and not use it if you are not pleased with the results. I am looking forward to seeing your afghan grow!
ReplyDeleteGreat pictures of your girls!
Hugs from Holland ~
