Its incurable.
Earlier this week I decided to arrange my collection of sea glass, sea pottery, driftwood and other beachy bits and pieces into a kind of coastal vignette. I thought it was very chic and proudly showed it to "himself".Do you know what he said?
"What am I supposed to be looking at?"
Men!Here is another of my collections; my three pairs of premax scissors in their new home, a glass frog, which I found in a charity shop.
His quote on the day I brought it home "What on earth are you going to do with that horrible thing?" Men!
Again!
I'm not convinced about the bowl its sitting in, but it will do until I find a better one.
We, women love these things.
ReplyDeleteI think the bottom goes very well with the frog.
Love the colorful scissors too
I love the collection; especially the rock with the natural swirl in it. And congrats on the frog find. No, they don't "get it" do they? But we love them in spite of themselves.
ReplyDeleteI love your beachy vignette - right up my street!
ReplyDeleteI'm still looking for the perfect bottom too! My flower frog is black and the bottom is proving to be very elusive. Good luck with yours.
Men are so complimentary.... NOT!!!
ReplyDeleteI loveyour seasidescape, its brill and the scissor frog is perfect
I like your collection. I'm afraid men just don't get it!
ReplyDeleteI love collections too, and I think yours are wonderful! I love the glass dish that the frog sits in - it looks very pretty to me, and I love your beachy collection. I think my favorite of that one is the sea glass!
ReplyDeleteWhat lovely collections and very colourful scissors.
ReplyDeleteThey look so cute. It makes me want to take a drive to the beach myself and see what I can find :-)
ReplyDeleteI too am a scissor collector and have had a glass frog for years with scissors in them but they have become too costly now. I bet you got a super bargain buying it in the charity shop? I have a metal tree that is supposed to be for ornaments that I hang the scissor with their fobs in and everyone always comments on it when they are in my studio.
ReplyDeleteLove your beach vignette and think it is a creative idea.
How is your crocheting coming along?

Men! Honestly, they have no idea...at least your blog friends appreciate it all!
ReplyDeleteI tried to explain the scissor thing to my friend's husband men just don't get it!
ReplyDeleteLove the sea glass I just started collecting some myself. So pretty!
I have to agree with your comments about men... haha.
ReplyDeleteOh, what I would give for all that beautiful sea glass! I have a few pieces but live nowhere near the ocean... so no hopes of adding to my collection anytime soon!
