Today is "Reveal Day" for the January Monthly Challenge at Jayne's Attic so I can show my finished challenge piece. We all stitched Eliza's Pyn Pillow which is available from With My Needle. I did mine on 32ct raw linen using Gentle Art Sampler Threads in Cidermill Brown, Old Blue Paint, Berry Cobbler and Shutter Green, and finished it as a tiny trinket tray.
You can see all the other wonderful finishes of this design at the chat forum on Jaynes Attic
I love the way you finished this Christine and your colours choices. This has been such fun, i hope as many join in again next month
ReplyDeleteLove what you did with your piece Christine. Looking forward to seeing what next month's piece is & what everyone does with it. :0)
ReplyDeleteHi Christine, I just love this it was my favourite finish of them all.
ReplyDeletePlease can you send me some instructions on how to make a trinket tray - I can more or less work out how to make it but wouldnt have a clue as to the allowance to leave round the design etc. Also do you put any card or anything in the base to firm it up etc. I am a bit clueless when it comes to finishing and really would love to have a go at something like this.
Thanks
WOW! I really like the way you finished your monthly challenge. It turned out beautifully. Everyone did a great job!
ReplyDeleteYour trinket tray is gorgeous Christine. Like Helen I would love to know how you finished it. I've seen this finish a few times now but yours looks just perfect.
ReplyDeleteThat is absolutely gorgeous Christine. I have voted for next month. Difficult to choose as they are all so pretty.
ReplyDeleteThanks for visiting my blog. Have added yours to my google reader so I can pop back.
Christine,
ReplyDeleteI have seen a similar finish to this several times, but yours is by far, my favorite. I'm pretty good at figuring things out, but I would love to know how you finished the tray. (interfacing, cardboard bottom, etc.) I would truly appreciate instructions. Thanks, Barbie brdstitcher at gmail dot com
