Exchanges revealed

All the Christmas exchanges I've taken part in have now been recieved/revealed, so I can share some photos. Many thanks to Julie for the wonderful sampler style pincushion (all stitched over 1!), and to Karen, Rebecca and Gail for the wonderful stitchy gifts. Many thanks also to Claire, Ish and Karen for organising the exchanges at Jayne's Attic.
Now if only someone would gift wrap two extra hours a day for me, I'd find time to do justice to all this lovely stash!

Happy Christmas!

My Mum is arriving today to spend Christmas and the New Year with us and this will be my last blog entry before Christmas, so I wanted to wish everyone a Very Happy Christmas and a Peaceful and Prosperous 2008. The picture is my display of hand stitched ornaments, many of which I have recieved in exchanges from you lovely people in cyberland.
Hope the Man in Red brings you lots of stitchy stuff!

Christmas Decorations 3

I'm excelling myself with original titles for my posts here ;)

Anyway here is my third piece of floral art. I'm really quite proud of this one. The strap like piece arching over the top is a phormium leaf, torn into narrow strips and woven together.
I finished a new sampler today (big happy dance!) but I'm afraid I can't share it yet as it is for a magazine. Watch this space ;)

Christmas Decorations 2

Here is the second of my floral decorations, the photo isn't so great but the "goldfish bowl" has baubles, foliage, and white lilies in it. It smells gorgeous.

Christmas Decorations 1

We are lucky enough to have an excellent florists in the village, and on Saturday I spent a wonderful day at their Christmas Workshop. I made three floral designs and thought I'd share them with you. First up is my door wreath. Hard to believe that this started life as a wire ring and some rather smelly moss! Harder still to believe that I had anything to do with it's transformation.

Thankyou Elaine and Emma, you are truly talented ladies.

Stormy Seas

No stitchy pictures to show today so I thought I'd share a couple of dramatic pictures we took at the beach this afternoon. David was doing his King Cnut bit, standing on a rock taking pictures of the waves breaking. Shortly after the 2nd pic was taken he found himself up to his knees in water!
